Beginning Quilting: Table Toppers with Beth Spencer

Always wanted to learn how to sew? How to quilt? Come by our beginning quilting class during vendor weekend and learn to make a 9 block table-topper. Fabric and sewing machines will be provided, so you only need to bring yourself. Children 10+ are invited to participate and beginner adults are also welcome.

This class is designed for absolute beginners, so have no fear! We will show you how to use the sewing machine to put together your own table-topper.

Beth Spencer has been quilting since the early 90’s, walked into her first quilt shop to buy fabric to make pillows for finishing cross stitch, signed up for a quilt class and has been hooked ever since. She was told once that she always was signing up for hard techniques for a new quilter, but she read quilt books and never gave up on the projects she started. The engineer in her enjoys the quilt making process …. the quilting is her challenge, She has a “magic box of quilt tops” so she usually can come up with a quilt to finish for any occasion – baby shower, wedding, house warming.
