Scott Stripling - Archaeology at Khirbet el Maqatir

LECTURE: Ritual Purity in the Late Second Temple Period

Scott Stripling, archaeologist at Khirbet el Maqatir, will present a lecture uncovering the secrets discovered at the dig site in Israel, specifically as related to ritual purity history and methods evidenced at the site. 

Dr. Scott Stripling is the Director of Excavations at Khirbet el-Maqatir (Ai of Joshua 7-8 and Ephraim of John 11:53-54?) in Israel and the head of the Humanities and  Foreign Languages department at Wharton County Junior College.  Scott also serves  on the Adjunct Faculty at The Bible Seminary and Houston Baptist University - both  in Houston, Texas.  In addition to Building Blocks (1999), Scott is the author of The  Trowel and the Truth (2007) and numerous academic and popular articles.  Scott, a  popular conference speaker around the world, has been married to his wife Janet for  32 years, and they have been blessed with four children and two grandchildren.
